Recurrent Yeast Infections — Who’s at Risk?

Persistent yeast infections, or technically known as persistent monilia vaginitis, inflict pain and suffering on about 7% of the world’s female population. And the number one inquiry any sufferer questions is: “why do I keep getting yeast infections?” That inquiry is a honest one, but trying to answer.

Persistent yeast infections, or even the rare yeast infection, can more than likely be attributed to a weakened immune system. Something as common as being infected by a virus, such as the cold or flu, can leave you susceptible to a yeast infection. Not getting enough sleep and being stressed out can make you more prone to a yeast infection. Even your monthly cycle can weaken your immune system. That’s why so many women get a persistent yeast infection that coincides with their menstrual cycle. Also, individuals who suffer from type 2 diabetes or stirring diseases such as psoriasis or eczema are much more susceptible. Taking a high quality supplemental “immune jab” is an exceptional way to combat these situations.

Though, just having your immune system in a vulnerable state may not be the only reason for persistent yeast infections. It is believed, by many health experts, that bacteria might be more of a factor than anything else.

Pathogenic bacteria (also known as unfriendly bacteria), and non-pathogenic bacteria (known as friendly bacteria), as well as yeast (a fungus) live in the intestines. All three need to be in balance for you to live a healthy normal life. Try not to take antibiotics which kill the excellent bacteria as well as the terrible. If you have to take them, supplement the things with a probiotic. And irrevocably, get some implementation. We all know the repayment of on foot and running. These two exercises alone will go a long way to promote excellent health. And we can all live with that, can’t we?
