How Safe Are The Aromatherapy Oil Diffusers?

Aromatherapy is a lovely way to help with minor ailments, smelly rooms and to lift your mood.  There are many ways to use aromatherapy oils, from placing a few drops in the bath to using an aromatherapy candle.  One of the ways most hyped by air freshener companies is plug-in aromatherapy oil diffusers.  They are certainly convenient, periodically spraying scent into the air in a fine mist.But are they a concern?

They Can Catch Fire

Make no mistake – aromatherapy oils are flammable.  They need to be carefully supervised.This means that they can not be near any heat source – including gripping lights or radiators, which are often plugged into the same outlet as a plug-in aromatherapy oil diffuser.  You need to unplug this kind of aromatherapy oil diffuser before you leave the room or your home.  You also need to let everyone in your home know that these oils are flammable.

They Can Break

Mass-made products in the first age group on the market tend to have glitches, whether they are software systems or aromatherapy oil diffusers.  Some people have complained that their plug-in aromatherapy oil diffusers sprayed out all of the oil at once.  Essential oils can stain fabrics and even eat through paint or furniture glaze.

Not only is this malfunction pricey, but in most cases can make you sick.  Even if a few drops of aromatherapy oil in the air is fantastic, having a whole container released is too much.  This is akin to spilling an entire bottle of fragrance in one room of your home.The smell can sometimes give you headaches, distress breathing and nausea.

They Have Small Parts

Plug-in aromatherapy oil diffusers are not recommended for homes that have small family or puppies.Both puppies and babies stick nearly all into their mouths.  When the aromatherapy oil diffuser is all collectively, it’s too bid to be swallowed, but they come apart easily into small pieces which can be swallowed and choked on.  Also, you should never ingest aromatherapy oil.  It’s fatal.

Now, plug-in aromatherapy oil diffusers can pose far too many problems to be used with any degree of certainly.  Perhaps in a few years when all of the design bugs are straightened out will they be safe and effective.  If you do want to use aromatherapy, stick with using other methods of dispersing into the air, including oil burners, oil rings, candles, misters or mixing in with other products.  Keep away of you are pregnant, have terrible allergies or are epileptic.
